Traditions

There are no rules in Hashing… but many traditions!

Bring a friend, lose a friend!

Always invite new people to every run. This is Lithuania FFS. If we don’t keep reproducing we’ll die out.

Everybody hares!

As REM says. Only Hashers who lay at least one trail a year and who survived a whole year with us get named. Once named, you lose your Hasher status if you go a year without haring.

It’s better with a partner!

Bring a new hasher / experienced hare to do your recce run / lay trail. It brings the whole Hashing family together.

No tech on trail!

This is Vilnius FFS. There’s already too many pretentious AHs. No one take photos except for the official Hash Flash. This also helps to make sure…

What happens on the Hash, stays on the Hash!

Hashing is an adult activity, featuring adults using adult language about adult topics.

Be a decent human being and don’t talk about peoples’ stupid but essentially harmless behavior outside of hashing.

But…

Any and all hate speech, discrimination, violence, or harassment of ANY kind can and should be reported to the Mismanagement team at any time, and can and will be passed on to the relevant authorities by Mismanagement without prejudice.

If in doubt, report it.

Old nonsense

The Constitution of the Hash House Harriers, 1950:

To promote physical fitness among our members
To get rid of weekend hangovers
To acquire a good thirst and to satisfy it in beer
To persuade the older members that they are not as old as they feel
